2020 NCASC Virtual Leadership Conferences
New for 2020! In lieu of the normal one-day District Leadership Conferences conducted by each District, NCASC will conduct three virtual conferences.
Each will be a 3-hour event on a Saturday morning (to avoid conflicts with remote learning or in-person school). Each District will plan and implement one virtual conference. Since these will be virtual events anyone who registers will be able to participate. And they are FREE!
These conferences are for any student leader or advisor - not just Student Council. We will share some Student Council-specific information, but the featured speakers and workshops will benefit any student or advisor. Feel free to invite leaders and advisors from other organizations in your school. Being versatile, effectively collaborating, and showing empathy are important for anyone during these challenging times!
Each conference will focus on different content related to the 2020-2021 state theme: Leadership 2.0
The focus areas will be: Versatility Collaboration Empathy
Therefore, any student or advisor will be able to learn something new at each conference. We encourage schools to register students and advisors to participate in each conference. There are plenty of options: A student or advisor can attend one, two, or all three conferences. A school may elect to register a different group of students for each conference and then share the content and things learned.
IMPORTANT FOR ADVISORS: An email confirmation will be sent to the advisor for each student who registers, PROVIDED the student correctly enters the advisor's email on his/her registration form.
